Embracing change

The one thing you can always be sure of in life is that it will change. Sometimes it can be hard to embrace change, particularly when we love where we’ve been. But I firmly believe that the way to feel better about change when it comes is to make sure that you appreciate what you have, while you have it. To mindfully enjoy it as much as you can.

Today marks the end of an era for me as my youngest finishes primary school tomorrow. It is especially poignant, as it’s at her tiny little school that my kitchen garden journey began. She was a chubby-cheeked pre-schooler who played happily by my side while I tended the school veggie garden, helped the students plant and harvest, and shared the love of the kitchen garden with other parents and friends, and their children.

It is only fitting then, that as she leaves primary school for the last time, I post here for the last time also. My children growing up has brought with it the wonderful freedom of being able to do more of what I love. One of those things, I’m so grateful to say, is my work, which has been gradually growing and expanding in new directions. So I’m closing this little blog-for-fun, and moving over to a more grown up, work focussed space, which you can find here.

I’d love you to come and follow me there. I’ll still be sharing recipes, along with the occasional article, and updates about new cooking workshops for adults that I’ll be running in the new year. You’ll also find favourite recipes from here.

Thank you for reading all this time, for your comments and support, and for sharing the love with me.

Wishing you vibrant health and heartfelt happiness,

Sam xo
